Hello fellow opponauts. I am Bryce Himelrick, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a really big car enthusiast who has been an enthuisast since I was about 2 or 3 and I would ask my parents to “read the back” of literally every car on the road. I still currently do that. Some hobbies of mine include rc cars, cars, mechanics, and autocross. I love Bmw M and Subaru Wrx stis.

Every super-manly muscle car should be required to come in that color by law. My brother and I were thinking about spray-painting his old Chevy Tracker pink because of all of the comments from the Jeep-bros who would begrudgingly be pulled out of the mud by his “Barbie Beach Mobile.” Yeah, they weren’t laughing when the Barbie Beach Mobile just bounced by where they got stuck.

DO IT!!
Hey, if you’re ever looking to powder coat something in an amazing shade of pink, Powder by the Pound has a great one called “neon pink.” My bike mechanic had my bicycle done up in that color when he rebuilt it. It’s GORGEOUS. Especially in the sunlight. I get all sorts of comments on it, and so does he. He was a little hesitant about the color at first, but it’s one of his most complimented builds. :)

Unfortunately, the Tracker’s long gone. I’ve sort of thought about doing something similar to my MR2, but the paint is so bad and the car is so rusty that I don’t want to do anything to make it look like anything other than a $900 beater on its last legs. There’s nothing on the outside of the car right now to even indicate that it
works
let alone is as stupid fast as it is. I already pissed people off by naming him Charlie. I was going to say that you’d be surprised if you knew how many people get upset over the fact that my car is a he, but you probably wouldn’t. I am thinking about grabbing that powdercoat for my calipers now, though.

Heh. What do you mean it’s not a SHE?! Heh.
In college I had a friend with an old Volvo named Hank. Hank was short for Henrietta. So, I guess Hank the Tank was trans? Who knows. All I know is that car was awesome. :)
ETA: Oh, and my last two cars have had gender neutral names. Not even on purpose, either... it just happened. Squeaky and Jelly Bean.

Haha, Charlie’s
definitely
a he. He’s named after Charlie Kelley from Always Sunny. He’s ugly, small, erratic, gets high pitched when angry, becomes frighteningly competent when it needs to, and will probably attempt to kill all occupants. My mom’s Fiat’s a she (Fifi), but most of my other named cars didn’t even get human names. My Hyundai was The Shoebox, my Accord was The Green Machine (I turned it into a gas mileage experiment), etc. I can’t bring myself to name my BRZ and couldn’t name my Mazda3. With the 3 it simply had no soul. It was a car that I regularly lost in parking lots. I don’t know what’s up with the BRZ. There’s just something missing that I can’t put my finger on, and it’s not torque.
